Engineering solutions were developed to account for the natural shrinkage of a wooden Honka house. The ceiling and decorative elements were structurally detached from floors and walls, allowing safe movement without damage to the finishes. These measures made it possible to combine a contemporary classical interior with a wooden structure while preserving a light, floating spatial feel.
